Marriage is a Rite, Not a Right

So many truths here.. It angers me that this even needs to be explained.

The Supreme Court will take up the legal challenge of gay marriage later this month while increasing numbers of Republicans and “conservative” pundits bow to the changing views in our society supporting gay unions. Liberals frame the issue in terms of civil rights and equal protection under the law, while conservatives and various Christian churches defend marriage as a union between a man and a woman. 

Stop everything you are doing and remember this moment:  For the first time in recorded history, they are BOTH correct… and they are both completely wrong about how to resolve the issue.

The simple and Constitutionally sound solution begins with the understanding that the government cannot recognize ANY marriage.  It does not have the AUTHORITY to regulate marriage, even a marriage between one man and one woman.  The government, however, can and…
